Potter Block, Warkworth Ontario
31-33 Main Street in Warkworth underwent a complete façade transformation in 2010/2011.

The tired saloon porch was removed and replaced with an entirely new double-balconied face, complete with custom-made wrought iron railings on both the top and bottom, and a new custom-stamped, accessible concrete entranceway.

The lower brick face was rebuilt and given a wonderful new coat of paint, the windows and doors were repaired and repainted, and custom-made double doors and wooden screen doors were custom-made by our carpenters and installed on the south retail unit and upper units.

The third-storey mansard roof was stripped of its rotten cedar shingles, and replaced with new cedar shingles in a traditional heritage pattern, stained a wonderful deep cherry colour. The windows and trim were all rebuilt to historical specs painted with a wonderfully complimentary paint colour.

Just for fun, check out our installation of hand-carved custom-designed gargoyles perched high above the street, keeping an eye on the village below.

Potter Block won the Architectural Conservation Award for Trent Hills after our restoration. (VIEW LINK)
